Roof Windows Fitted and Repaired in Clifton Lofts
Many Clifton homes have a loft that could be used more, and a roof window is often the first step. The same windows are also a common source of leaks when the flashing has aged or the original fitting was poor. Natural light is the main draw, with ventilation a close second.

Evans Roofing is an independent contractor and is not VELUX-approved. We supply and fit roof windows, VELUX and other makes, and we do not claim any manufacturer approval. Both new fitting and repair work are covered.
New windows, replacements and flat roof lights
Fitting a roof window means cutting into the roof and supporting the structure, then weatherproofing with flashing that suits the tiles. Whether a window is suitable depends on the structure and the product's requirements, and building regulations approval may apply, so check with your local council. Cutting an opening in a tiled roof means working carefully around rafters and battens.
Older windows can be swapped for new ones if a suitable unit and size is available. Rooflights can also be installed on flat roofs such as extensions. The sizes and finishes available vary, so we talk through what suits the opening.

Tracing a leak
A leak around a roof window might be the flashing, the tiles nearby or the window itself. We check each before deciding on the repair, since replacing a window will not help if the flashing is the problem. Mould or damp on the lining inside points to water getting in somewhere around the frame.
To talk about a new window or a leaking one, call or WhatsApp Evans Roofing with photos of the roof and the room inside. We can say what looks feasible and quote. If the window is in a flat roof, the upstand and waterproofing around it are checked too.

Not necessarily. The structure, pitch and covering all affect whether it is possible, so we would look at the roof and loft space first. A short visit or clear photos usually settle it.
