Roof Windows and Loft Rooflights for Warsop Homes
A roof window can make a loft in a Warsop terrace or family house far more useful. It brings in daylight, and it can make a cramped loft room feel like part of the house. Older terraces often have a tall, steep roof space that is well suited to a conversion, and later housing can have loft space that is simply waiting for light.

Evans Roofing is an independent contractor and is not VELUX-approved. We supply and fit roof windows, VELUX and other makes, in Warsop, Mansfield, Worksop, Ollerton and Sutton-in-Ashfield, and we investigate leaks around windows that are already in place. Older windows are often blamed for leaks that really begin at the flashing.
From first opening to final flashing
Installing a window into a pitched roof means opening the covering, supporting the timbers and fitting a flashing kit that suits the tiles or slates. Done correctly, it is weathertight from the first shower. Done badly, the leak shows up on the ceiling beneath. That is why the flashing and the way tiles are cut around the frame matter as much as the window.
On flat roofs, rooflights can be fitted for extensions and garages that need natural light. Existing windows can be replaced where suitable products and sizes are available. Tell us the make and size if you know it. Tell us the make and size if you know it, as that can narrow the choice.

What to check first
Headroom, the position of the rafters and the condition of the roof all affect whether a window is practical. Work on roof windows may need building regulations approval, so check with your local council.
Send photos of the loft and the roof by WhatsApp, or call, and we can talk through the options and quote. A photo of the underside of the roof is helpful.

VELUX Roof Windows in Warsop: common questions
Are you VELUX-approved?
No. We are an independent contractor and are not VELUX-approved. We supply and fit VELUX windows and other makes.
Can I add a roof window to a terraced house roof?
Often it is possible, but the roof structure, party walls and neighbouring roofs affect the details. We would need to see the loft and the roof to say what suits. Terraced roofs also need care at the party wall.
